TRAVEL INFORMATION

With our wedding taking place the same weekend as Albuquerque's International Balloon Festival, we strongly recommend booking flights and accommodations as soon as possible!

santa fe regional airport

Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) is small and easy to navigate, with direct flights from Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and Houston.

From there, you are welcome to get a rental car or to take an Uber or Lyft for a quick, approximately 20 minute drive into town.

Both hotel blocks offer parking on-site.

albuquerque international airport

Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ) has a larger selection of flight options available.

From there, you can rent a car and enjoy the scenic, approximately one hour drive to Santa Fe. Rideshares are also available, though availability and pricing can vary for longer trips. Shared and private shuttles run regularly between Albuquerque and Santa Fe as well.

Both hotel blocks offer parking on-site.

THINGS TO DO IN SANTA FE

dining recommendations:

By foot: Cafe Pasqual’s, Coyote Cafe & Cantina, La Casa Sena, La Boca, The Pantry, The Shed.

By car: Joseph’s Culinary Pub, Santacafe, Tomasita’s.

attractions by foot:

The Plaza:

The social center of Santa, surrounded by boutiques, galleries, and cafes. Enjoy a scenic view of the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi. On the north side sits the Palace of the Governors, the oldest public building in the U.S., where Native Americans often show and sell their crafts. Favorite stops: Santa Fe Dry Goods and home store, Shiprock Gallery (upstairs from Dry Goods), Sunwest next to the Palace Cafe, and Manitou Galleries (slightly off the Plaza).

The Chapel at Loretto:

Right beside the Inn at Loretto, this small, very old Chapel houses the “miraculous staircase."

Canyon Road:

Nearly 100 galleries and boutiques are concentrated in this half-mile winding road not far from the Plaza. Favorites include Legacy Gallery, McLarry Fine Art, and Morning Star Gallery. Grab lunch at the Compound, the Teahouse (way at the end) or El Farol (across from the Teahouse).

The Nedra Matteucci Gallery and Sculpture Garden:

The gallery, a spectacular adobe home formerly owned by renowned collector Forrest Fenn, is worth seeing itself, besides being filled with Western art and sculpture by the old masters. They welcome visitors to the garden, a beautiful spot with a walk-around pond.

The Georgia O’Keefe Museum:

A gallery dedicated to the art and legacy of Georgia O’Keefe.

attractions by car:

Museum Hill, with four world-class museums, including the Wheelwright.

The Santa Fe Opera.

Meow Wolf, an immersive art experience (tickets are a must).

Bandelier National Park, with hiking trails to ancient cliff dwellings of the Anasazi.

A scenic side trip to Taos (1.5 hours).
